By booking, attending, or purchasing any class, package, or membership at The Studio N20, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
THE STUDIO N20 – TERMS & CONDITIONS
By booking, attending or purchasing any class, appointment, service, package, event or membership at The Studio N20, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
For the purposes of these Terms, “Services” includes classes, Reformer Pilates, Studio Centre classes, Studio Restore bookings, infrared sauna and red light therapy sessions, treatments, appointments, workshops, events and any other services offered by The Studio N20.
1. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT
1.1 All Services, packages and memberships must be booked via The Studio N20 website, mobile application, approved booking platform or directly with the studio.
1.2 Full payment, a valid membership credit or an applicable package credit is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
1.3 Purchases, memberships, packages and booking credits are personal and non-transferable unless expressly stated otherwise.
1.4 Refunds are subject to these Terms and your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under applicable consumer law.
1.5 The Studio N20 reserves the right to make reasonable changes to class schedules, instructors, practitioners, opening hours, pricing and availability. Reasonable notice will be provided where practicable.
1.6 Where The Studio N20 makes a material change to a Service already booked and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, the affected booking may be rescheduled, credited or refunded as appropriate.
2. CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS
Classes
2.1 Classes must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 12 hours before the scheduled start time.
2.2 Classes cancelled less than 12 hours before the scheduled start time, or where a client fails to attend, will be treated as a late cancellation/no-show and the relevant class session or credit will be forfeited.
2.3 We understand that occasionally circumstances change. However, repeated late cancellations or no-shows impact class availability for other members. Where a client repeatedly cancels within the 12-hour cancellation window or fails to attend booked classes, The Studio N20 reserves the right to apply a £10 late cancellation/no-show fee per occurrence and/or temporarily restrict future bookings.
Appointments & Studio Restore
2.4 Appointments, including Studio Restore, infrared sauna, red light therapy and other bookable treatments or services, must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 12 hours before the scheduled booking time.
2.5 Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the booking, or failure to attend, will be charged at the full session rate.
2.6 Where an appointment has been purchased using a package or prepaid credit, the relevant session or credit will be forfeited.
2.7 Where The Studio N20 cancels an appointment, the client will be offered the opportunity to reschedule or receive a refund or restoration of the relevant booking credit.
3. HEALTH, SAFETY & PARTICIPATION
3.1 Clients are responsible for ensuring that they are fit to participate in or receive the Service they have booked.
3.2 You must inform your instructor or relevant practitioner of any injury, medical condition, pregnancy, recent surgery or other circumstance that may affect your safe participation.
3.3 Participation in physical activity carries inherent risks. Clients must follow instructor guidance and exercise within their own abilities and limitations.
3.4 The Studio N20 reserves the right to refuse or discontinue participation where it reasonably considers participation to present a health or safety risk.
3.5 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Reformer Pilates & Class Safety
3.6 Reformer Pilates involves specialised equipment including moving carriages, resistance springs and other apparatus.
3.7 Clients must follow instructor guidance at all times and must not adjust or use equipment contrary to instructor instructions.
3.8 The Studio N20 reserves the right to decline participation in a Reformer or other class where it reasonably considers that participation may be unsafe.
3.9 Pregnant clients should obtain appropriate medical advice regarding exercise during pregnancy and must inform their instructor before participating.
3.10 Certain classes may be identified within the booking description as unsuitable during pregnancy or for particular conditions. Clients are responsible for reviewing this information before booking.
4. STUDIO RESTORE – INFRARED SAUNA & RED LIGHT THERAPY
4.1 Studio Restore and its infrared sauna and red light therapy facilities are provided for general wellbeing, relaxation and recovery purposes and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, advice or treatment.
4.2 Clients must follow all safety and operating instructions provided by The Studio N20 relating to Studio Restore, the infrared sauna, red light therapy equipment and associated facilities.
4.3 Clients should seek appropriate medical advice before using the infrared sauna or red light therapy where they have a health condition or other circumstance which may make heat or light therapy unsuitable.
This includes, but is not limited to, clients who:
- are pregnant or may be pregnant;
- have a cardiovascular or circulatory condition;
- have concerns relating to high or low blood pressure;
- have a pacemaker or other implanted medical or electronic device;
- have difficulty regulating body temperature or sweating;
- are taking medication that may affect heat tolerance, circulation, heart rate, blood pressure or sweating; or
- have any other medical condition which may be affected by heat exposure or red light therapy.
4.4 Clients must not use the infrared sauna if they have a fever or acute illness, or while under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
4.5 Clients must stop their session immediately and seek assistance if they experience dizziness, faintness, nausea, difficulty breathing, unusual discomfort or otherwise feel unwell.
4.6 Clients are responsible for ensuring that they are appropriately hydrated before and after their sauna session.
4.7 Swimwear or lightweight, suitable clothing should be worn. For hygiene purposes, clients must sit or lie on a towel while using the sauna.
4.8 Clients must not exceed the session duration allocated to their booking and must follow any guidance provided regarding temperature and duration of use.
4.9 The Studio N20 reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a Studio Restore session where there are reasonable health or safety concerns.
4.10 Clients must comply with any additional health, safety or usage instructions displayed within Studio Restore, provided during booking or communicated by a member of The Studio N20 team.
5. COOLING-OFF PERIOD & CONSUMER RIGHTS
5.1 Where applicable, consumers purchasing memberships, packages or other Services online, through a mobile application or remotely may have statutory cancellation rights under UK consumer law.
5.2 Any statutory cooling-off period will apply subject to the relevant legislation and any applicable exceptions.
5.3 Where you expressly request that Services begin during an applicable statutory cooling-off period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for Services supplied before you exercise your right to cancel.
5.4 Where a Service has been fully performed following your express request for performance to begin during the cancellation period and you have acknowledged that your cancellation right will be lost once the Service has been fully performed, your statutory cancellation right in respect of that Service may cease.
5.5 Nothing in these Terms limits or removes any statutory rights available to you under applicable consumer law.
5.6 Requests relating to statutory cancellation rights should be sent in writing to:

6. MEMBERSHIPS
6.1 General
Memberships are personal and non-transferable.
Membership benefits apply only during the active membership period.
Unused sessions are subject to the rollover and expiry provisions applicable to the membership purchased and communicated at the time of purchase.
6.2 Recurring Payments
Monthly memberships are payable on a recurring basis unless otherwise stated.
By purchasing a recurring membership, you authorise The Studio N20 and its payment provider to collect the applicable membership fee on the agreed billing date.
Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of membership access until payment is resolved.
The Studio N20 may amend membership pricing by providing reasonable advance notice and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
6.3 Cancellation of Membership
Where a membership includes a clearly disclosed minimum commitment period, including a six-month minimum term, cancellation during that minimum period is subject to the terms applicable to that membership and the client's statutory rights.
Nothing in this section removes or restricts any cancellation right which a consumer has under applicable law.
6.4 Membership Freeze
Where permitted under the membership purchased, memberships may be frozen for a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 30 days per membership term.
Freeze requests must be submitted in writing before the requested freeze start date and cannot normally be applied retrospectively.
Where applicable, membership end dates will be extended accordingly.
6.5 Suspension or Termination
The Studio N20 reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where a client seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms, behaves abusively or inappropriately towards staff or other clients, or creates a genuine health or safety risk.
Any financial consequences of termination will be dealt with fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
7. STUDIO CONDUCT
7.1 Clients should arrive in sufficient time for their booked Service.
7.2 Late entry to a class or appointment may be refused where admission would be disruptive, compromise the experience of other clients or create a health or safety concern.
7.3 Appropriate attire must be worn at all times.
7.4 Clients must behave respectfully towards staff, instructors, practitioners and other clients.
7.5 Mobile phones must be silenced during classes, appointments and treatments unless otherwise agreed.
7.6 The Studio N20 reserves the right to preserve the safety, atmosphere and integrity of the studio and may reasonably refuse or withdraw access where behaviour is abusive, threatening, unsafe, significantly disruptive or otherwise seriously inappropriate.
8. PERSONAL PROPERTY
8.1 Personal belongings are brought onto the premises at the client's own risk.
8.2 The Studio N20 accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA
9.1 From time to time, photography or video may be captured within The Studio N20 for promotional and marketing purposes.
9.2 Where planned photography or filming may include clients, The Studio N20 will seek to make clients aware where reasonably practicable.
9.3 Clients who do not wish to appear in photography or video should notify The Studio N20 or a member of staff.
10. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
10.1 The Studio N20 will not be responsible for delay or failure to provide Services where this results from circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control.
These may include, but are not limited to:
- government restrictions;
- public health emergencies;
- significant utilities failures;
- natural disasters;
- serious building or structural issues; or
- other exceptional circumstances outside our reasonable control.
10.2 Where a booked Service cannot be provided, The Studio N20 will take reasonable steps, depending on the circumstances, to offer an alternative, restore the relevant booking credit, extend validity or provide an appropriate refund.
10.3 Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights or remedies available to clients under applicable consumer law.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
11.1 The Studio N20 may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
11.2 The most current version will be available through The Studio N20 website, booking platform or in-studio.
11.3 Where a change materially affects an existing membership or contractual commitment, The Studio N20 will provide reasonable notice and will not make changes which unlawfully prejudice a client's existing consumer rights.
11.1 The Studio N20 may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
11.2 The most current version will be available through The Studio N20 website, booking platform or in-studio.
11.3 Where a change materially affects an existing membership or contractual commitment, The Studio N20 will provide reasonable notice and will not make changes which unlawfully prejudice a client's existing consumer rights.
12. GOVERNING LAW
12.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
12.2 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
